A twenty-one year-old English major at Empire State University, Rick Sheridan leads an ordinary life, until Sleepwalker becomes trapped in his mind. Rick's life begins to fall apart as he struggles with what has happened to him. Ashamed and confused, he tries to conceal Sleepwalker's existence from those around him, becoming isolated and depressed. Feeling like he has been afflicted with a disease like AIDS or obsessive-compulsive disorder, Rick is left to cope with overwhelming changes in his life.
