Centuries ago the Celtic and Norse people of Midgard worshipped Thor, god of thunder and war. In time the people of Midgard outgrew their beliefs and the gods withdrew from the world of man.
When Thor grew lacking in humanity he was exiled to earth in the body of a mortal by his father Odin, king of the gods. Since that time he has learned the value of being just. Thor, armed with the mystic war hammer, Mjolnir, is both guardian of Earth and protector of the Golden Realm, Asgard.
Thor The Son of Odin and rightful God of Thunder of the Norse Myths. His adventurous nature has led him to spend a lot of his time on Midgard, the Earth, instead of his home dimension, the fabled Asgard. He's a founding member of the Avengers, and wields the enchanted hammer Mjolnir.
